Brief Description

One form of integration is that of summarizing data as it is entered into the data warehouse. In this case multiple occurrences of data - from the same record, from different records in the same table, from different records in different tables - are added together or otherwise algorithmically entwined in order to create a single value in the data warehouse. The important considerations are the amount of system resources required for such a calculation and the documentation of the calculation.
