Data Structures in Near Line Storage
Brief Description
Normalized Near Line Data - data is stored in the near line environment in a normalized structure. Normalization is optimal because near line data needs to be able to be accessed and reconstructed in any number of ways, all of which are unknown to the data base designer. Therefore the designer stores data in the near line environment in a normalized structure.
