Bill Inmon, world-renowned expert, speaker and author on data warehousing, is widely recognized as the "father of data warehousing." He has over 40 years of experience in database technology management and data warehouse design, and he is known globally for his seminars on developing data warehouses. He has been a keynote speaker for many major computing association and many industry conferences, seminars, and tradeshows.

As an author, Bill has written more than 1000 articles on a variety of topics about building, using, and maintaining the data warehouse and the Corporate Information Factory. His works have been published in major computing journals including BeyeNetwork where he continues to be a featured columnist. He has written 52 books, with translations into nine languages; one has sold over one-half million copies.
Bill was named by ComputerWorld as one of the ten most influential people in the history of the computer industry.

Scott Hirst is Senior Information Advisor at Ultra Solutions, Inc. He is widely recognized for his work in database and data warehouse design, data architecture definition, technology consulting, and information visualization and business analytics. His broad portfolio of experience spans over 20 years across multiple industries and countries. His engagements include work with major consulting firms, product vendors, and companies such as Sun Microsystems, Kaiser-Permanente, Capital One, EDS, Wipro, and Sybase. Mr. Hirst holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He makes his home in Colorado.
